The trip is over. This ship is lost.
Is everyone out? Is everyone safe?
They have no idea. The authorities have left.
And so they must search. They must know. No one must suffer a fate in a watery grave.
With this in mind, deep into the belly of the beast they go.

This is a short story I've written in college. It is an experiment, a deviation from my comfort zone and undeniably different than what I typically write.
This short story isn't something I want to publish. It's an excercize; a short journey for me to write in a way that I traditionally don't.
At the core, this story is flawed by its predictable, cringey plot. It's me working with a modern style that's strange and foreign to me while I'm trying not to "Titanic" it at the same time. I would still love to know how folks feel about it in terms of style and diction. Enjoy a little desperation and a little love. Get out of it what you will.
Breathe.

The Demons of Oibahn

10 parts Complete Mature

Four strangers find themselves trapped in a cage without any knowledge of the past three years. To figure out what happened, they'll have to somehow get along, then investigate every lead together. None of them are prepared for the wars they'll fight through, or even the truth. This is the first book I ever ever wrote, so it's a little rough. Consider it non-canon. This takes place well after the Silent Veil, at the end of ACT 1 for the overarching plot. This contains spoilers basically, but most of those plot points have changed anyways since this book was written. There are also themes I don't exactly align with anymore. I plan to completely re-write this story in the future. For now, I hope you'll enjoy what I did about this thing: fun characters going through a fun romp in space. What to expect: Fun, action, disco! George 'Slick' a disco legend that can glue anyone together. Kielbir a merciless pirate, but he doesn't remember that bit. Donid a sniper poet with daddy and mommy issues. Lou Hull an engineer with lacking self confidence. Be prepared for a love triangle, a great political conspiracy, and horrific discoveries.
