"She will come," the schoolmaster moaned on her death bed.
"She will be more powerful than the world ha-." she paused to cough into her sleeve, blood drenching the white cloth. The schoolmaster's apprentice shuddered. He would be the one the Chosen would replace. He didn't want that. He wanted that title all to himself, for as long as he could keep it. For as long as he lived.
"She will be odd,
She will bring a following,
Don't let her come,
Or you will perish without her." The last of the prophecy was sucked out of the old woman's soul and her body lay limp. Her skin turned a black rotten color and her eyes lolled back as she breathed her last breath.
"No, master. The school is mine now." The apprentice said harshly as he reached for the vial from which he had fed the schoolmaster poison. He poured the last drop into her mouth and said in a voice not his own, "Mine. All mine now."
