it practically happened overnight, one night I'm in my bed when I wake up my eyes are covered in an unusual mass and I heard unusual voices. suddenly I felt something pick me up and say: "calm down, for us you're in a high honer position."
Humanity's way of life has somehow changed overnight. What was once 7.5 billion people on earth with just 6 off of the surface of the Earth is now practically all on ships orbiting the Earth. Brought there by an unusual race with seemingly good intentions.
As for Nathan, like many children of his metal status and age from the looks of things; ends up placed in the care of someone on the ship and, what would be lucky for their kind, in the care of the commander of the ship he's on. But he's willing to trust something that knows his every like and dislike despite his kind nature. Will be driven mad as he tries to figure out what happened to his family, will he give in, or will that be the key to find out.

Northern Exposure: The divided
Without warning it began! The inevitable, I think it's fair to assume this book is not in my possession. This means I'm most likely dead. Most nights I wrestle the reason I have chosen to explain what happened, the things we did to each other, things no human being should witness. I Wright this simply to enlighten your poor soul and give you more of a chance than I had. A chance to survive what is most likely the brink of human extinction. Times are harder now and as the days go by we are less of our former selves. We have become husks floating around in a lost, desolate world. I look at this place and it still seems so alien to me, as the days roll into the nights I'm still unsure of how we got to this point. If you are reading this, you too are probably North and very much aware of what has happened to our beloved city. I feel a responsibility to inform you that you will most likely share the same fate as I have. I understand you may be wondering what's worse than death, trust me in this place death seems like a paradise compared. I do not know why I still feel so obligated to write this. To be honest most nights I think its just an escape from the madness, like a natural sedative it's the only way I can fall asleep in this hell. However I do need to clear my conscious and pay dividend for my demons. I need you to know what happened to me; I need you to know what we have become and what we are capable of. I need you to know why we have chosen to kill each other, why the smell of human flesh lingers in the air like slow roast pork on a Sunday afternoon. Why bodies litter our streets. Why things that seemed to be so impossible happen in front of our very own eyes. Why conformity i this place is the unreal ideas people live their lives by and why I was included into this group of youthful abominations. dragon rebirth
The dragons have come and gone since the Pliocene epoch when Wooly Mammoths roamed with humans during the ice age. For many of the I and E generation in the Americas and parts of Europe, it was something to avoid being taken by them to their world. But many knew the stories they told, the things they saw and missed, and in this world of social media, the child coming home, reborn as a shifter. For 16-year-old Nathan that was his reality. For 11 years he's not only avoided getting grabbed but helped others avoid a similar fate. But a black dragon was watching him grabbing him only to lay low in the nearby woods, something they did to pick out who'd they take. It did that for 10 years, more than 3 times longer than usual. His actions and the amount of time he had avoided them made him a sort of celebrity in his town in the midwest. But one day that black dragon made its decision, he was to be her hatchling. When they're usually marked the child could turn to protective mode, running from home to prevent drawing attention to other children for the picking, and that's what he did, right to where they last landed. Luck, choice, a possible spell in those claws, whatever you may think doesn't matter. A black dragon never misses its mark. With agility unsurpassed by the other types they're almost impossible to avoid. But these dragons didn't breathe fire, were a threat, nor in any way the size of a 747 max. All they had that was unique from other creatures was a highly evolved brain with the intelligence of a human and a heart of platinum. Note. Some creatures don't belong to me in any way. The alphas mermaid I looked into the eyes of the alpha, his deep blue eyes you could get lost in. I was snapped out of my trance by being pulled by my brother. I looked at him confused untill I looked back at the alpha to see his eyes full of fury and being held by a beta and a pack worrier. "You are to weak to be my mate! You are a human! You will never succeed." He growled. I looked at him wide eyed. They don't know what and who we are, all I know is that the alpha wolf is my mate... I'm a mermaid, the last purple tailed mermaid and hunted by many, and I'm in hiding. I smiled and walked up to him changing my eyes to my bright purple and looking at him. "If you only knew" then I turned on my heels walking out of he school with my brothers in tow. ------------- Bryce is the next alpha of the Dark Moon pack. The Walk
It wasn't supposed to be like this. All I wanted to do was get on the train and head out to the first day of the rest of my life. School finished, degree obtained, a new job waiting for me, therapy going well. That's how that morning was supposed to go. But it didn't. Instead I'm thrust head first into a world I never wanted to take part in because I'm mistaken for someone else. A EMP goes off in Inverness station, set off by a terrorist group after strange black boxes, with one of them now bio-linked to me. Along with the box is my guide, Charlie, who is supposed to lead me to safety, keep me away from the Burn tell me where to take the box. But the more I travel, the more I realize there's more to all of this than I could possible realize, and what's worse, there's more to me than I realize. Memories long lost come to the surface, making me question what's real and what is just a concoction of my own twisted mind. With each step of my journey, I wonder more and more just what this box in my hand really does, and who I really am. I fear the answers I'll find. The virus eats at the modified human brain, and soon the Unaltered begin to realise that the Altered are losing their minds. Home is no longer safe. Friends and family turn on one another, losing control of their own minds and bodies. The Unaltered aren't safe. Even if the virus isn't attacking them, the ones with the virus are.
