Everyone has that moment in life where they think everything stinks or is unfair, they just want to stay inside forever and never come out. But the truth is that doesn't help you at all. Payton's life gets turned around when she has to leave the comfort of her home in Chicago to live in the big city of New York. There she is faced with tough decisions that she doesn't know are right or wrong. Will she ever adjust to her new life or will she find that things aren't as bad as they seem?

I'm not that great at summarizing stories, but don't let that stop you from reading. WARNING...WARNING...WARNING... There's a lot of sexual scenes (very detailed) and cursing, so PARENTAL DISCRETION is strongly recommended throughout the entire story. Life on the streets is always survivor of the fittest. So when 22 year old Lyric starts to get involved with Billy, the biggest drug lord on the east coast, she thinks she has the perfect life. But being with Billy, Lyric learns that more enemies than either of them can keep count of is also part of the package. Will Lyric be willing to go to hell and back just to prove that hood love does exist? Or will thugs and hood love be defeated again? Stay tuned, but let the record be known that there's never a happily-ever-after in the hood, and not in this story either. There's only the constant thought of survival...
