The heroes of old rest on their laurels after their final battle against the Demon King, now forever cursed with everlasting youth and enforced pacifism. After centuries of peace, the world is at risk again, yet this time humanity's threat... is itself. As war, greed, and technology decimate the world, the heroes take on the mantle of their old villains to foster a new breed of hero - all without killing anybody. -------------- Hello everyone! New project here, first draft, and I hope to put out ~3000 words per week minimum. This will be a relatively short story, probably ending up somewhere around the 60k word range.
