This is my version of how I think the story should continue in the book "The Swift Boys & Me" by Kody Keplinger.
Nola Sutton has lived next to the Swifts'all her life. They are her best friends in the whole world. There's the youngest, Kevin, the oldest, Brian, and there's Canaan, Nola's best-best friend. Nola can't imagine her life without the Swift boys. But then everything changes overnight.
When the Swifts' daddy leaves without saying goodbye, it completely destroys the boys and all Nola can do is watch. Nola had to spend the summer without her best friends, watching her mom get married, getting bullied, and not enjoying everyday with Canaan like she planned too. She couldn't even go to the circus. Nola moved away from the Swift boys but still goes to school with Canaan. This year is going to be different though because she has a knew best friend and possibly boyfriend.
Will Nola and Canaan ever be friends again??

Everyone tells Elliot to move on, but he isn't sure he can. ***** It's been a year since the love of Elliot's life, Allan, passed away. Everyone thinks he should have recovered after that much time, but Allan still haunts Elliot every night. He struggles to maintain relationships with his family, and despite a coworkers interest he can't summon up the courage to date. Elliot is living for the past, because to live for the present means he'll have to live with a hole in his heart. But the question Elliot has to face chases him through his monotonous days: is mourning Allan with everything he has truly living? [[word count: 40,000-50,000 words]]
