Life on Earth in 4039 is either the most amazing thing in the planet's history or the worst thing to ever happen to the world. Sure, everyone has a job, there are no wars or fighting, and poverty was abolished decades ago, but not everything is perfect. Individuality is prized above all else, sometimes at the cost of any similarities. It's considered the greatest utopia of all. And yet, the Disappearances still occur. People disappear seemingly randomly from places, leaving no trace behind. Orient's entire life has revolved around these Disappearances. And when he is murdered, he believes it is the end. And then he wakes up. And he is still alive. Turns out aliens are a thing. Who knew? Orient can never return to Earth. But he still has a job to do...find his father and the other captives, and help the aliens recover the world. Whelp, nothing to lose, right?
