(1st draft) When Kyia is seen transforming into a human by a hunter she is forced to go on the run with her twins to the man who changed her unintentionally.  She is forced to beg the man who tried to kill her for safety of her children. She was hoping that he would protect them because they were of his bloodline, even though she knew showing up at Stone Haven would probably cost her, her life. 
Jeremy Thought she was dead, His anger had gave him the strength to take the pack from his father, yet here she is standing naked in front of him with two 6 year old children clinging to her legs and an arrow sticking out of her shoulder. Whatever brought her here, he did not know, but he would bet trouble was not far behind.

The transformation turned out to be a long painful process. Her were-heritage demands that she claims Beth as her own. She is almost powerless to stop it or to make her own choice. Beth however has no choice but to complete the mating and be turned. It is that or die. When she nearly dies in the grip of the transformation Alex curses Fate and demands things be put right. The Fates intervene but they ask a price be paid.
