I wanted to write a Cinderella story but as I progressed the story became a bit more than that. It became a story of women who were ahead of their times, some brave, some timid and some a bit crazy. Set in rural Bengal, before the independence of India, it is a story of how ordinary folks were having their own little revolution and making new evolution.
