Luke Strange is a boy who gets bullied for being a nerd/ loner/emo he also gets bullied for being gay. He doesn't have any friends people ask him to sit with him and all that jazz but declines all of them he feels he has to be alone all the time. He doesn't eat, he is anorexic . he has come out to his very religious parents. his parents didn't accept him like most people in his life they try to beat the gay out of him. he has a major crush on Travis Lockwood. He is 17 turning 18 in two days.
Travis Lockwood Kind on the inside but puts up a mask of an emotionless boy. When he sees someone getting bullied he helps but does it in a way he thinks he doesn't show his emotions(Luke sees his emotions). He is a closeted Gay. He ran away from abusive parents and joined the gang then became the leader at 16. He is 18.

Michael takes Luke home with him for the night, and gradually Luke begins to find out more about gay life through a close circle of friends. ~~~ A blatant take on the Queer As Folk TV series that ran in the UK 1999-2000 & was remade in the USA 2000-2005. These series dealt with gay rights and social issues featuring storylines concerning homophobia, HIV & AIDS, Proposition 14 (USA version), violence/gay bashing, coming out, drug use, gay marriage & parental rights amongst others. The original UK series was set in Manchester, the US version in Pittsburg, I have set this version in Sydney at the same time (Early 90's) and have kept the original music that was first used in the UK version and re-used in the US version. I've renamed the characters (obviously) and also place names etc to suit the change in city. I've also added in some Australian-ness to suit the location. If you haven't seen the TV series, the UK version was ground breaking for it's time, nothing like it had been seen before and it sent controversial waves rippling which Showtime picked up on. They re-made it for a US audience, using nearly the exact same script before carrying it on and expanding it into 5 series. I highly recommend you watch if you can! (Use to be called 'How Did My Life Get So Complicated?" but figured it was too long and decided to shorten it and give a different description than it was before). Zeke's life was that of a simple nerd who liked being in the background unnoticed and who just happens to be gay. It really doesn't help when you have two tormentors picking on you every single day with no do anything to stop it. Since it was his senior year all he had to do was hang on for the next ten months. Everything will be alright, right? Sadly it won't because life decided to throw a curve ball at Zeke's head by adding more pain other than what his bullies do to him. He lives with his twin brother, who is essentially his polar opposite. Sam secretly hates all of his "friends" except for one. Kizuato Larson is Sam's twin brother. Ever since the twins' dad left when they were seven, Kizuato has been more reserved and less willing to trust people.
