Secret Truths

I was young when my dad died. The story I was told is that he was thrown from his car in a wreck, I just don't think it's the truth. My dad was the safest driver on Earth, but he was easily upset and depressed. Every safety pro caution for driving he took , he never missed one! He just didn't enjoy the monotony of driving everyday and overall driving anyway.
When we received the phone call that he had been in a wreck, we were devastated. My brother had passed from cancer just two years earlier and now my dad. It was only me an my mom now.
After these years of depression, I worked harder in school for my mom and so I would get a good job to support my family. But mostly, I worked harder to please my dad. It was always his dream for his little girl to become a doctor like him. Well here I am about 20 years later and I am now a pediatrician. I have two kids Talia and Brady and I am married to my best friend, Ansel. He is amazing! I wouldn't survive without him.
