I wish we lived a beautiful love song. But with every love song, there is a sad song to follow.

I don’t know how to explain life, or love, or really anything for that matter. But I do know music. I know there are notes written on a paper and there are so many voices out in the world just waiting to play off of this new life that has been born in sound. Music can make you feel so many emotions. One with a light, upbeat tempo can make you happy, or even excited. A strong, loud song filled with a combination of minor and major chords can make you angry, or inflict a harsher emotion. A soft, slow song can make the happiest person sink into their loneliness to discover all the darker, deeper wounds that they’ve kept hidden for so long.

That’s where music can lead people. Music is a life all on its own, and it has brought people up in this world, but also dropped them far below the view they wanted. Every song, every voice, and every melody has the power to kill, or the power to bring something to life. Maybe that is why music is so important in my mind. That is why it makes it easier for me to explain things. Music is a life. Music is in my life.
