Alexandra Silence has succeeded in a lot of fields, things like sleeping on all the flat surfaces in her parents house, eating everything in the fridge in one sitting and just barely scraping by as an assistant manager in their family run restaurant. She's certain she's in the wrong line of the work, if the way to someone's heart is through their stomach she'd be better off performing open heart surgery. The survival rate would be twice as high and her patient would walk away with their life, she can't say the same for anyone she's served food to.
Her father on the other hand has other ideas and without her knowledge he signs her up to take classes at one of the most elite culinary schools in the world. Now it's up to Alex to either prove him wrong and quite literally crash and burn, or with the help of a few new friends and one special professor prove to herself that outside of women and fan-fiction, cooking is her hidden talent and one true passion in life.
