It was quiet, the only noise being my shallow breaths. I rested in the field, my hands holding me up as I sat on the damp grass. Daisies surrounded me, and I looked ahead. There, across the hills, the sun began to rise. Dawn. A sweet remembrance of my Aurora. ------------ It's been a year since the death of Aurora Leaman, a 23 year old woman who dreamed of living the best life. Her boyfriend, Simon Westfield, has yet moved on. Their love was deep, one that couldn't be explained or understood by others. Her death tore him apart, he didn't see the point of living his life if she couldn't live with him. But over time, Simon will heal. It isn't easy, but with the help of friends, family, and the new girl across the street, Simon might just learn to love again.

Best friend's brother kinda romance... But without the clichè. "Being with Rose is like talking to the ocean. To the sky. To the stars and the moon and forming constellations in her eyes" A pause. The world seems frozen in this moment, in this smile forming on my lips "It's hearing her voice and it holding secrets I didn't know I needed to hear. It's hearing her heartbeat in the silence and knowing; I'm not alone" *** Asher has lost the one person that understood him better than anyone else. He thinks the darkness will follow him forever, but when he meets Rose, all he sees is light. He laughs. And for him, that's enough. That's more than enough. Rose isn't afraid of death. She lives her life like she could die any second. It's the only choice she believes she has in a world where everyone takes hers away. But when she's with Asher, she's afraid like she's never been afraid before. She feels like she could choose to set fire to the world and he would light the match. She feels like she could smile and he'd give her the world. That's what scares her the most. That he makes her want to live.
