This story is about a nurse in World War II. It is her story. Her name was Sophie Maddox and she was deployed as one of a few female nurses, deployed from Britain to the heart of France during the occupation.
Her story is one of hundreds which shows that war robs people. It takes everything they have. But all that, we will get to in due course.
