Almost at adolescence. Although not your average royalty. Far from it. She has friends.

These friends soar through the skies, their closest companion leading them through tight cracks in the mountain walls or past the deepest caves in the ground.

They crush the earth others walk on and burn their enemies. They freeze the water and make storms from the everpresent flowing air.

For several centuries, the world has been divided. One nation, believed destroyed, hides in the open, waiting for the time that they are needed.

Guardians of Elental primarily follows Alicia Sayané, princess of Ophelia, one of the top 4 nations in this world, and first in line for the throne. She is attacked by an unknown force and saved by a mysterious red haired man with 2 wolves. Her parents have someone look into this and this person is found to be a soldier turned mercenary, who lives by the codename Crimson. The merc gets along with the royal family quite nicely and soon calls in a favor from another mercenary who is known as Skyler.

Skyler realizes the princess is an Aqua like herself and trains her at request of her parents. But they can do more.

Alicia is taken to Arsenal, a nation hidden in myths and legends and home to Crimson and Skyler. She meets Crimson's team of girls, all of whom are the same age. They take her in and she learns to live like a soldier.

From there, her life is changed and she goes from action to action. She learns how the rest of the world lives and falls in love. Goes through many different moments with that same team which she now calls her sisters and eventually, before the world is threatened by a hostile interstellar empire, she unites the world through the creation of the Alliance.
