It was supposed to be a normal day from walking back from school. Taking the shortcut through the cemetery crossed his mind as he opened the gate and slid through. The walk was slow and the leaves under his feet crunched louder than expected, he stopped but the leaves kept crunching. He turned around and saw a figure duck behind a grave. He quickened his pace but the footsteps became louder, he started to sprint away, deeper into the cemetery.

He turned back and saw nothing, he was about to stop but tripped and was about to fall into a ditch but the feeling of someone grabbing the back of his shirt prevented him from this fall.

He froze as the person pulled him up and held him straight. His eyes widened at the person. It was a girl, but not exactly. She tore a bit of her shirt off and covered his eyes with the piece of cloth. It was thin so all he could see was her.

He had a million questions.

"New student, right?" the Principal asked me. I nodded meekly, hoping that he would turn out to be a patient suffering from short term memory loss and would forget about detention but his next words confirmed how rotten my luck was! "Mr Spencer, Ms Wilson" he began in an icy calm voice," creating a raucous in the corridors right outside my office isn't exactly a heroic thing to do. Both of you have an option of either a week detention together or a two week detention together." My eyes shot wide open, "One week detention with him! That's practically impossible for humankind!" "I don't want to risk my bright IQ by serving detention with this psycho!" I heard Spencer jerk protest. "You have an IQ???" I looked at him, giving my best shocked expressions, "Is it the joke of the decade or joke of the century???" "Since you didn't react to my calling you a psycho, it confirms that you are one." he shrugged calmly. My brain was ready in an instant with a smart answer to that. I opened my mouth to give it back to him--- "STOP." The headmaster yelled, the pulse in his temple was throbbing red in fury. "The options are now changed to three week detention or four week detention." he muttered in anger. ***** Andrea Wilson was looking forward to having an ordinary life in school. But things don't turn out as planned when she accidentally gets into the bad books of the hot nerd in school. And when that popular nerd turns out to be her brother's best friend....well things don't really uncomplicate. Add to this generous amounts of classes, detentions, friends, enemies, crushes, heart breaks and Andrea is all set to have an eventful year in High School that she was for sure not looking forward to! ~*~~*~*~~*~ #7 in Teen Fiction 4.5.16

"I'm a messed up girl." Sigh, peek through lashes, then "Most of the time I either overreact, or I don't react at all. There's a numb spot where my heart should've been and mouth knows nothing but sarcasm." Lip bite, looking away "I've seen too much to make me this. " Eyebrow raised, then "You're a messed up girl." A light nod making the dark tousled hair bounce. "You don't know how to react or how to listen to your heart." Fidgeting with fingers, Is he nervous? "You're not sarcastic you're defensive." Smirk. Damn right he can't be nervous. "You haven't seen too much, you've seen one side of life for too long." Another smirk. Alright, where's the police? Trouble is on its way. "It's about time you see the better side". "I don't want you to be my superman, or batman or ironman or-." Another sigh, then "I'm not a mission! I can't be saved" Smirk, then. "I'm not saving you, you don't need to be saved." Smile, wait what? "Babe I'm Your-Man, and I'm here to give you a good time" Book 1 of 'SuperHero' Series.
