Thirty-eight shifters lived on the edge of Birch Grove, until they didn't.

Teenager Tansy Godspeed grew up in a pack known for its pacifism. When wars were fought, her pack of peacemakers refused to join the fight and instead, isolated themselves from wolves hungry for blood.

Tansy is left as the sole heir to the Birch Grove pack after a lethal attack leaves half of the pack dead. With her parents face down in their own pool of blood and her sister declining in health, Tansy is faced with the sudden responsibility of leading a broken pack out of the ashes and into the embers of wars.

As Tansy faces the consequences of her pack's past, she must build a future for her pack, even if that means creating an alliance with the man responsible for her parents' death,
