Being skeptical may turn out to be the best virtue of all, when an incredulous man meets his end and somehow finds himself at the gates of Heaven-or so he is told by the old man with the long beard who is clearly terrible at acting. An attempt at social satire by name-dropping as many afterlives as it takes to convince a skeptic, which turns out to be too many-because no matter how much these "actors" try, Tom is no fool and this "welcome to the afterlife" nonsense must have a limit.
