The In Between
*TRIGGER WARNINGS LISTED BELOW. Not a supernatural or paranormal story. Literally about smol beans.* Counseling. A week of counseling. Sure, there were 6 fights in a month, but Principal Evans just didn't understand. Riley wasn't the bully, they were. But they're nerds, and they don't seem like bullies. And of course, his home life is a mess; his mom's dead, and his dad walked out two years before his mom died. He lives with his little sister and his alcoholic grandmother. Things don't look very good for him. But then there's Cam. Cam is not the same, but he seems to understand a bit. And Riley seems to understand him. Maybe, just maybe, things can turn out okay. The consequences of our actions have the shadows talking back. Their voices are lovely, alluring, and most of all sinful. With their wicked tongues, they offer a temptation I may not be able to refuse. I can't help but wonder if we made the wrong choice. *** This is a dark enemies to enemy/lovers romance for Sebastian Sallow, and my OC Hyacinth "Hattie" Hills that takes place during her last year at Hogwarts. She is still in the throws of recovering from her first year, heavily stricken with the grief and trauma it caused her. Now that she's begun to heal, there's a shadow stalking the grounds that threatens to undo all of that progress. All participating characters are 18+, as this is set a bit in the future and with an added year at Hogwarts. This work contains many dark themes and triggers. There is some Ominis/OC but this is not for the Ominis girlies, unless you want to see him hurt. This fic is dark... and inspired by an idea of Sebastian being something heinous... HOGWARTS LEGACY SPOILERS AHEAD!! Ominis x Reader fanfiction is based in their seventh year. All characters have been aged up to 18 years of age where explicit content is involved. Written from the perspective of fem Slytherin y/n. ---------- Sebastian has been sent to Azkaban. Of course, Ominis blames you--it's only natural after everything that happened in your fifth year. For the entirety of your sixth year, Sebastian was at Azkaban. While Ominis understood that it was a necessary action to take considering what Sebastian did, he didn't forget that you encouraged it, or that you partook in the dark arts yourself. It was against everything he stood for. He warned you every step of the way, and neither you nor Sebastian listened to his warnings. By a stroke of luck, the ministry has decided to give Sebastian a second chance. He gets to come back to Hogwarts for his seventh year of schooling. Ominis is still Sebastian's friend, but he wants to keep you away from him at all costs. He hates you for what you did to his best friend. On a happy note, St. Mungos finally found a cure for Anne Sallow's curse, and she's back at Hogwarts for her seventh year as well. Your friendship with her blossoms, and makes it even harder for Ominis to stay away from you. Even though he hates you, he can't deny the attraction between the two of you. Everything changed one night at a party in the Slytherin common room when you two come in close contact.
