25 parts Complete MatureThe Les Bradley Movement is a tragic story of how one Dallas Winston died.
Les Bradley was 16 years old. The kid grew up in Tulsa notorious for being... different. He wasn't like the other boys on the playground. He never had a girlfriend. Les Bradley was gay.
While Les kept his secret for far too long, he only went to come out of the closet when he began to fancy a boy from another gang. He had to share his own feelings with his gang. When his own friends betrayed him by telling his secret to most of Tulsa, Les' life was put in danger.
Teachers weren't calling on him in class. The nurse refused to accept him into her office. Kids pushed him into lockers and defaced his with paint. FAG spelled out on his locker all year round.
Les Bradley was jumped by eight other boys his age. He was taken from the school parking lot, held in an alley way and those eight boys near mauled him to death. For 24 hours no one found Les laying beside that dumpster. The police refused to write up a report, refused to do an investigation. Doctors refused to tend to his wounds. One nurse solely helped him until it was his time to leave the hospital. Les Bradley was left sitting outside the hospital until his mother reluctantly picked him up.
Les Bradley committed suicide one week later.
