Evangeline has lived her life with a dark and sinister voice in her head, a 'companion' that brings forth urges that she is horrified by. Helpless against her own growing misery, the darkness threatens to consume her body and soul, forcing her dainty hands to commit sickening deeds. All she ever wanted in life was a purpose to strive to, a goal to reach. A light at the end of her ever darkening tunnel. Why is she on this world, living this life, doing these things.

Evangeline is a young girl with a painful past which has left too many scars on her shoulders. Trying not to give up is hard, especially when she doesn't find the will to talk anymore. When fate takes her to the White mansion, she encounters a man who's set up to discover what she is hiding. However, the more he unravels her secrets, the more is Elijah White not willing to let Evangeline give up her life. *Excerpt* Watching her carefully, she darted her eyes in the room, looking for a way out because the door was behind me and she had to pass by me to reach it. I could see how her breathing became even more frantic and I cursed again under my breath, remembering now that I was standing before her, half naked, watching intensely a woman who was on verge of crying and screaming. I didn't even want to know how it would look like if someone else would come now in the room. My ego didn't miss the moment to show up and remind me that my body or my face didn't have the effect I wanted on this woman. Not even close. And the next second, I started to feel embarrassed. Very embarrassed. I didn't even know that I could ever use that word when referring to myself. I had to do something before this woman would faint right before me. Think about something, you idiot. If you were able to come up with this stupid plan, you should get out of it too. "I want you to help me put on a new shirt." Way to go, idiot. I couldn't think of something else but it didn't seem it worked because she eyed me suspiciously and now, I felt even more stupid. Evangeline didn't know when she left her house she would never be able to return again. The monster took a liking to her and used Evangeline as a personal puppet or even a pet. I never thought my life would be like this; trapped in a dark room and scared for my life. A blindfold was wrapped around my head, covering my eyes, making me completely blind and on high alert. My breathing was ragged and I could smell the mold that was most likely covering most of the room. My hands were tied behind my back, my feet tied together and I was sitting on the floor, propped up against a wall. I heard a slight shuffling across the room that was coming closer to me. I tried my hardest to keep my breathing under control to seem confident and fearless, but in reality, I was shitting my pants and squealing like a scared little girl on the inside. To say I was terrified was a drastic understatement. I was petrified, shaking with fear, but they were not going to know that. "Who are you?!" I demanded. If I was going to die, it would be with the name of my kidnapper. A voice boomed closely to me, "Well, if I told you that, this wouldn't be any fun." **************** Skylar James, a 24 year old girl, is kidnapped by a very well known gang who has a vendetta against her family. In an attempt to find light in her situation, she makes friends with one of the members. Logan Grant was forced into the gang at the young age of 16. He was abused until he became emotionless and ruthless, so that one day, he could rule the gang. Everything was going smoothly until Skylar is brought in. With a blindfold wrapped around her head, he instantly feels bad for her, though he cannot show it. Afraid of getting caught, he shows no emotion while others are around.
