The Little Navy Blue tells a story of a young boy, who loves the sea and has a desire for adventure. The boy who is from a poor family, runs off to work at a fishing boat when he is only 15 years old, pursuing his dream of traveling the sea. The story takes place in around 1820.

Ranboo is a nineteen year old merman. There's not much to his life, other than the fact that he's a merman.
