The government has issued a compulsory free health check to everyone in the UK. What Samantha Sparrow should have thought before going was that what's free usually comes at a price. She learns this the hard way when she is stolen from her life and is locked away in a top secret government facility with other evolved humans like her because of the strange properties of her blood that set her apart from the human species as we know it.
