If there was one thing Spencer Quinn knew how to do, it was making coffee. That's why working at Lucinda's, a quaint coffee shop, was the perfect job for her. It kept her mind off her troubled mother, helped pay the rent for her apartment and her co-workers weren't that bad. But trouble seems to follow her wherever she goes, but this time she's making an effort to leave her past where it belongs so she can make it to college with a new life in sight. Though the unpredicted entrance of the famous Adam Kessler seems to bring along bumps in her path and she has to rethink whether believing in yesterday is worth it.

The Coffee Bean by Stracy2

Emmy Lorraine is living her life exactly the way she wants to - owning and running her quaint coffee shop, The Coffee Bean, and enjoying her solitary, peaceful adult life - no strings attached, and certainly no unwanted communication with her pushy, controlling parents. But a recent fling with a man she barely knows has left her in a predicament that she never could have predicted. Pregnant and single, Emmy has to face the biggest hurdle of her life, and when Ben McAllister suddenly comes back into the picture, she really doesn't know how to reconcile her fierce independent nature with her constant, inconvenient attraction to him. Add to the complicated mess the ghost that haunts her coffee shop, and Emmy's life really takes a turn for the confusing. The ghost seems to be trying to communicate with her, but at her failure to grasp its meaning, the haunting becomes more intense, forcing her to reconsider the future of The Coffee Bean - her livelihood. As her relationship with Ben progresses into something she'd never expected, Emmy fights her own natural instincts to back away, to get away from the confusion and chaos inside her heart. But as much as she'd like to think she can handle everything on her own, it's Ben's arms that she really wants to fall into at the end of each day. And as they begin to work together to solve The Coffee Bean's problems, to prepare for a child that neither of them expected to have, they find themselves pushed closer and closer together than either of them had imagined. With the unexpected arrival of Emmy's parents, whom she hasn't spoken to in nearly ten years, comes further complications - questions and anxieties that could break Emmy and Ben apart for good. But the ghost at The Coffee Bean isn't finished with them yet, and as they uncover the meaning of her haunting and communication, they learn more about their own relationship. Emmy might just realize that her heart really can open to Ben more than she'd ever wanted to believe.

Life for Kiersten was never really described as easy. But she worked hard to make it through life. When she meets Harry in a coffee shop (how cliche I know) she's pretty sure that she's found the one. But when another band member starts creeping his irish charm and blue eyes into her thoughts she's not so sure.
