Akiko of the Cats

Akiko is a 13-year old hunter who, with her army of cats, helps her community to survive in a world ravished by the Last Great War that happened nearly 50 years ago. Nuclear fallout from that war has left much of the planet a desert wasteland where resources like clean water are more precious than gold. After learning that her compound's well has nearly run dry, Akiko and her cats must help a frightened young survivor with a unique gift find a new source of water before the desert claims the lives of all their people.
