Isabelle Gardner, a soon-to-be nineteen-year-old college student stepped out of her mom's SUV wearing a bright smile on her face.
"It's so good to be back" she breathed quietly to herself, making sure not to let her mother know she wasn't all that upset about leaving her again after being home for summer break for the last four months.
She was about to start her second year, though technically she was a junior, at Woodland College. The thought of being back with her friends, being on her own again, and finally having something better to do than working all summer was prominent as she giddily started grabbing her things from the car.
Little did she know, the next eight months were about to be drastically different than those she had been planning and waiting so impatiently for ever since she first got sick of being home.
