Phoenix Rain Dreger is a born immortal. Her kind is what humans call vampires, shape shifters, or mages. Phoenix happens to be one of the few who are gifted in all three areas. She is able to control the elements, shape shift, and has enhanced abilities with the need for blood. This little girl is the most sought after five year old; each of the three kinds of immortals wanting her for themselves and humans wanting to destroy her.
Phoenix herself isn't aware of the danger she's in. She doesn't know that her parents died trying to save her. She's just happily living out her life with chalk drawings, not-so-scary bed time stories, and children's rhymes. With her grandfather Ezera, her sworn protecter, she knows that nothing can hurt her until the day he dies. When that day comes, will she rise and become the leader she was born to be or perish at the hands of the wicked?
