Abby Gilbert is one of the people living in that world, even though she has no clue.
She knows the world as the unpredictable ball of nature. But all of that changes when her parents' car runs off a bridge. They don't survive... She, her twin Jeremy and their older sister Elena are on their own, at least, that's what they feel like.
Luckily they have all kinds of friends and family around them, ready to help. Even the people they didn't expect it from...
Abby couldn't handle the fact her parents died and left her hometown, Mystic Falls, for a while. But when she got back, everything changed..
