Tripping on a stone my knees gave way to the hard familiar mud. Heaving I blinked speedily to clear the images, in disdain. In the distance lay that heap of ashes. Unmoving. Frigid. But something felt different. Eery. Looking closely I saw two black shining coals staring back intensely, dangerously.......
