"Everyone loves a good fantasy, but my life was turned upside down by one." What would you do if you had the ability to control the air? How about if you were suddenly brought to a world where, despite your powers, you're at the bottom of the food chain? On a fateful night, Max Walker finds himself summoned to Asterisk and contracted to Liliana Lockwood as her familiar. Forced to leave behind his life on Earth, Max begins a precarious journey into the unknown world of magic. Training as a knight, learning to control mana, battling rogue necromancers and even being mistaken for Duke Walker's son... it's just one thing after the next. But as if that wasn't bad enough, Asterisk, a world which subverts reality as you know it, may just have something to do with Max's own heaven-defying origin... and a secret that could leave the universe hanging by a thread. "But the question was, is this possible? Am I really in the story? But how? And why?" A tragedy occurred in Gauri's life and her idea of happiness and 'living life' to the fullest changed drastically. That's when she came across an old diary in the new house that she recently shifted into, to run from the memories of her past and start a new life. She felt that the story was calling out to her in weird ways because she kept going back to it, re-reading it multiple times, and feeling the heartbreak and extreme traumatic emotions all over again. Then, one day, she gets into an accident and finds herself in a world she didn't recognise, only to later realise that she may or may not have entered another world - The world she was reading about in the diary!! The world she knows because she has read it multiple times, but also the world she doesn't know because it was supposed to be fiction! Her only consolation was meeting the man she had been crying over for the past year. Would she be able to save the man from his inevitable destiny, or does she have to leave behind the man who made her feel things she didn't know were possible? The story is not edited, so if you see any grammatical mistakes, kindly ignore them. I will edit it once I complete it.
