Lusitania "Lucy" Carey, the soul of the old RMS Lusitania and a confirmed Type 1 diabetic, is adopted by Bob Kreider one year after moving from San Jose, a city in her home state of California, to Manhattan. Bob is the older brother of New York Rangers forward Chris Kreider and the patient from the famous video game Surgeon Simulator 2013.

In 2019, Kaapo Kakko, a Finnish hockey player with Type 1 diabetes and celiac disease, is drafted second overall to the New York Rangers. Lucy sees this as a huge step forward for people with diabetes and hopes that Kaapo will make a big impact with her uncle's team.

Watch as these two young people meet, interact, talk about their diabetes and gluten issues, share recipes...and more?

After a year away at Kitty Hawk, Cassie Maybank returns to the Outerbanks with a determination to get her life back on track. To stay healthy, to make her own friends, to live a normal, steady life like every teenage girl should. But after hearing the news of the passing of one of her closest friends, and coming back to the island, she realizes her brother's letters severely underestimated how much had truly changed. A lot can happen in a year. Friends become strangers, brothers become liars. Some enemies become allies, some enemies become lovers. © Inslaytiable | June 22nd, 2023
