The Road

In the war-torn ruins of the nation of Aissur, a single band of thirteen outcasts helps refugees cross through the devastation to relative safety of Sharanweld. But not every member of the band harbors a savory reputation, and shadowy forces move to thwart their progress. Bands of guerrilla fighters and other, even more dangerous foes hunt their former adversaries, seeking revenge for crimes committed prior to the decision to help refugees. And in the midst of it all are a scared group of men, women, and children seeking only to preserve their lives from the marauding forces of opposing armies.
