This short story is about a dark-skinned female, Tasha, who is a student at Harvard University. Her parents are both neurosurgeons and CEO's of their own hospital. Her experiences will be shaped based on her race/complexion and will question her relationships with other races. This story gives my idea of the flip side to the normalized version of the "black experience;"that all black people grew up poor in struggling communities.

The boy had a poor childhood. He had nothing when he was young he was poor and others didn't like him for it. But as he got older he started to not care what the other say but try to show them that he did care for them in his heart. As for the dark skin girl... She don't really know the definition of love....she believe that love is a game that you can play any times... The white skin boy believe that love is something you have to cherish ..something you have to be gentile with. But... As the dark skin girl try to break his heart... She was neither in the popular group, nor one of the many cliched outsiders. Sarah was a nobody. She liked to blend in and lay low. It was her way out of not only this town, but her house. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote. When her mother disappeared from the family life, her father met a woman and moved to Chicago. This was not something Evonne was waiting for. She definitely didn't like changes. Not when the step mom was kind of mean to her. When she met Caleb, her life changed into something she never thought would ever happen to her. Someone genuinely loved her, and it was a boy and she couldn't let this go by. But when hidden secrets get revealed only they can change them. Told in both POV.
