Mystery
Nathaniel Porter works as a virologist in a top secret laboratory located on an oil rig off the coast of Alaska. While off the clock one night, an unknown series of events has led to the containment breach of a biological weapon that is virtually untraceable until symptoms begin to manifest. By then, it's too late. Mr. Porter now has a choice. He can attempt to trap the virus in the facility before it has the opportunity to spread to the rest of the population, or he can escape with the knowledge he has. Either way, Nathan knows that his days are numbered, and that he needs to move soon if he's going to rectify what he's done.

[Book 1] Crawlers: once normal people like you or me. They had hobbies, families, friends, interests, but now they are feral monsters. The infection spread, wiping out almost half the human race, and leaving the rest as either Crawlers or Survivors. The infected's eyes will black out, before giant, black, bug-like legs will rip out of their back, giving them a newfound speed and agility, as well as an insatiable bloodlust. Body fluids entering any open wound, including the eyes, mouth, and nose, will seal the person's fate; they are now infected. It won't be long before they start screeching at the moon in a mock howl. The problem is, I am infected. I turned but retained most of my humanity. With my new lifestyle in a new world, I can't expect anything or anyone to act as I predict. My biggest question is, can I save my humanity? Or will I simply become part of the mindless feral swarm?
