Atomic City Chronicles

The year was 2080. America was at its peak as well as the rest of the world. Oil production and trade was at an all time high. Homelessness in America was nearly non existent. Crime was at an all time low. It was a beautiful time in America. Then everything changed. In 2084 a scientist named Jordan Gallio created a Mass Fusion Nuclear Reactor. It's purpose was to increase power supply by 200 percent in only 1 year. It worked too. For a little while. All 50 states has a Mass Fusion Reactor. Gallio was deemed a hero in the nation he was the second most important man next to President Howell. Then In 2090, everything changed. On July 10th 2090 at 5:45 PM, a mysterious power surge caused all 50 reactors to blow, causing America to fall into an atomic wasteland. The rest of the world watched in awe as America fell, once a magnificent nation, now a nearly uninhabitable wasteland.
The year is now 3090, 100 years after the Reactors Blew. The country will never be the same but people have managed to rebuild civilization. But In a land with little to no justice system, crime is at an all time high, and the justice system can be described in 3 words "Money or Bullets". City guards are corrupt, guns are commonplace, every man woman and child owns one to defend themselves from the wastelands dangers.
But not everywhere is bad. Some settlements have a justice system, but crime still flows like it always does.
Because crime will never change.
