(A/N: This is essentially going to be a process of fixing + improving Lean on Us, a pre-existing fic on my page, as I'm not too happy with how it came out as the years go by. NOTE: There WILL be more spice in this one and probably more violence than in the original, but all spice chapters will be written to be skipped in the case you'd like to skip them, and TW will be added as necessary.) After Luka's painful pining experience over Marinette Dupain-Chang, he pretty much gives up on romance and prioritizes being there for the ones he loves and putting their needs above his own. He begins to attract attention as the band Kitty Section picks up some major traction, leading him to feel the need to repress any hurt he's feeling himself. As this happens, (Y/N) transfers into Marinette's class upon being adopted by their uncle due to the sudden death of their parents. (Y/N) is still moving on and dealing with the repercussions of their mother and father's passing when Juleka introduces (Y/N) to Luka at their band rehearsal. They form a strong bond and become fast friends- and quickly become something more- but how much more can they be in the chaos of suddenly becoming a hero on top of that? Adrien was a good boyfriend. He listened to what Marinette said about Luka and tried his best to keep his distance, ignoring what was becoming a wonderful friendship. Marinette would've remained frozen in her spot if it weren't for the surrounding crowd that pulled her up and started to nudge her towards the stage. "No wait! Don't make me!" She pleaded as they pushed her onto the stage, almost causing her to trip and fall on her face. Meanwhile Adrien had reluctantly made his way towards the stage. Although he could've declined, he would never hear the end of it from his father if he had come across as rude at a public gathering. As the two stood awkwardly on stage in front of the microphones, Luka had come up behind them resting his arms on each of their shoulders. "Don't worry, you guys will thank me for this later." He told them reassuringly. However, his comment fell on deaf ears to both of them as they looked at the floor uncomfortably. "...or maybe not."
