13 years ago, the 5th world war finished. Mexico launched destructive nuclear bombs, causing the world to break. The world is no longer a happy place, no longer somewhere people enjoy being. It's a modern hell. I don't remember the last time even saw grass. The last time I felt sand under my feet, sun on my face, felt the breeze in my hair, I don't even know the last time we had seasons, real seasons. I miss summer. I miss winter, even though I would complain through all three months of it. I miss the little things.

I never believed it would end like this. I was just watching Netflix when the power went out, then before I knew it everyone was screaming, then the school began to shake and fell to the ground. Only three kids in my entire school were spared, four if you count me. I found a group of people heading to the east coast for a boat trip to a supposed safe haven in India. They died of disease days later. I found their bodies by the river. But I guess this is my life now, surviving with a scared boy, a pair of twins and trying to make it to the next day. Start: June 27, 2017 End:September 12, 2017
