Elevation of Life is a debut book of Anurag Anand, a teenage author who is a national and continent record holder by 'India Book of Records' and 'Asia Book of Records' respectively for 'writing four forms of writing (poetry, fiction, sonnet, skit) in a book'. This book deals with the incidents that most of the youth walk through. Every content has a message to convey, and a story to tell. It puts together a collection of creative writings that will help you elevate to a peaceful status in life. This is an efforts to cull my poetry, fiction, sonnets and a skit together.

I'm blessed to be me
Out of habit, I burst out laughing, and the water from my mouth drenches someone's shirt in front of me, who seemed to appear from nowhere. I look up to see the familiar pair of handsome eyes, only that now it is rageful. "I'm sorry, really...." I begin to stutter, but even before I could finish my sentence, he grabs the bottle from my hand and empties it down, straight on my head, and throws it away. His lips twitch into an evil, satisfied smirk. Out of my reflex, but with determination, I push him back. He trips and loses his balance, just to get his upper body drenched by the water pouring out of the fountain. Yay! I have managed to wash the evil smirk on his face... He is now soaking wet and his wet hair glistens glamorously. I feel water dripping down my face as well. I take a step back, "I said I'm sorry." I utter, my voice filled with determination. I am not one of those cliché teenage girls, who simply stands embarrassed when someone humiliates them. --------*---------*-------- Athisya, a 15 turning 16-year-old funny, rebellious yet sweet girl belongs to an orthodox Tamil family living in Chennai. The story focuses on this girl who has some health issues yet manages to pass out of her high school in flying colors with the help of her family and friends. On her way, she meets Mugilan, a handsome, haughty yet caring guy. Things begin to change when fate ties together their lives and little does Athisya expect it. Join Athisya in her journey through hatred, love, trauma, struggle, tears, and faith. P.S: This story brings out Tamil culture. But anyone can read this as I've made it apt for readers of all platforms. Also, this story doesn't have a sequential storyline but is a book describing the journey of the protagonist Athisya. Maybe, just maybe, in a universe, Our love will grow and not just manifest. Maybe, there you'll be eager to know, My poem of love, written for you in free verse. It's not a mere thing, I'll tell you, It's like a love, so fresh, but not new. It's like feeling euphoric, just by an image, It's so affectionate, even just to envisage. It's like feeling the need for a word, A word, stronger than 'love'. A feeling for the world, That holds none but us. A misconception that it's impure and evil, That love's just a headache provider. I pity the souls who haven't witnessed it's purity, Cause love is a world of fondness for someone, with your dignity. Years of await, years of hope, Hoping that miseries shall be no more. And years of praying for him to be mine, This wish aged like a fine wine. He's so beautiful, how do I tell? For him, in nick of time, I fell. God really took fine years to enchant him, With all the goodness, stars suggested to pour in. He's got unexplainable beauty, That I adore so much more than he'll ever see. It's a hurting fact, that he'll never love me back, Despite that, he's the reason love isn't crap. Maybe he's got his definition of affection, Which, unfortunately, isn't the same soul as this one. Maybe, he's found his reason to live, To whom, all of himself, he'll give. If not then good for the love, The love that I saved for years.
