Transcendence of The Lotus

Jin Guangyao is dead. Jin Ling is now independent, with two trustworthy friends by his side. Wei Wuxian is alive and happy. Yunmeng-Jiang is thriving. Everything is all and well - except for the fact Jiang Cheng is dying.

With steady and gentle hands, he carefully pulls out the golden core that was being rejected in his body. He ignores the gasps, the sobs, the cries and the screaming. He ignores it all, and let's Zidian hold them. He is weak and he is dying, and so he turns to the sobbing and screaming Wei Wuxian and held out the golden core.

"Take it."

"No!"

"Take it, Wei Wuxian." His vision is darkening, and his head becoming lighter "Take it. Give Zidian to Jin Ling. Protect him. Protect him and take care of Yunmeng for me."
"Jiang Cheng-"
"Protect Jin Ling. Look after Yunmeng Jiang. For once in your life, Wei Ying, listen and do this for me."

And so he dies - except he didn't. Not really. Instead, he is back home. Before the burning. The attack. The massacre. When he was only a boy who has his family at his side.

He had traveled back in time.
