Van Mond Place is a tale of horror and curses, of mystery and survival, of love and fear...and of things that go bump in the night.

Abigail Fischer a is young woman with a strong love for antiques and artifacts, a love she inherited from her mother. Her love extends to the abandoned homestead known as Van Mond Place. The grand, castle-like mansion is going to be demolished by her father's real estate and development company, and Abigail feels drawn to do what she can to preserve it, by at least collecting valuables and antiques from it before it is gone. However when she drops by one evening to sort through it, instead of finding antiques and dust, she finds a trap and an ancient evil that is rooted in the very foundation of the mansion.

(Aiming for weekly chapter release with this story)

Check out the multimedia I post on the side - the songs are at least somewhat relevant to the feel/theme of the story ;)

The Devil's Mistress A dark, gothic thriller set in the shadowy, decaying town of Hollow Creek, The Devil's Mistress follows Lilith Carver, a mysterious woman who returns after a decade of absence. Known for the unsolved deaths and eerie events that plagued the town before her departure, her reappearance sends a ripple of fear through the locals, many of whom still whisper about the dark power they believe she harbors. The novel plunges readers into a world of deep suspense, where the town's crumbling mansions, fog-choked streets, and forgotten graveyards hide sinister secrets. As Lilith steps back into her family's abandoned, haunted estate, she is greeted not just by the ghosts of her past, but by something far older and darker that has been waiting for her return. Unnatural whispers fill the night, eyes watch from the shadows, and as events spiral out of control, the line between reality and nightmare blurs. With its creeping sense of dread, The Devil's Mistress explores themes of guilt, betrayal, and the dangerous allure of power. Lilith is not simply a victim of her past, but an active player in a deadly game of manipulation, where salvation and damnation often come from the same hand. But as the forces of darkness close in, it becomes clear that her return was never a choice-she was summoned, and now must confront the price of her family's legacy. In this heart-pounding suspense, every glance over the shoulder, every whisper in the dark, and every secret left unspoken pulls the reader deeper into a tale where trust is dangerous, and redemption may be nothing more than a lie.

A world unseen dies over and over. It shrieks at a pitch that you cannot hear. It rots with a stench that you will never quite know. It isn't a place meant for you and I, it is merely a bank for the dead and dying; a vault of visceral agony. It's function, origin and purpose are as cryptic and chilling as the vengeful spirits whose claws scratch and teeth rattle just beyond the thick, putrid mist that seeps over its endless surface. Yet, through all the horrifying and inexplicable unknowns, this place has one certainty: it doesn't take kindly to guests. Meredith Haynes fell into The Second Stage during a routine surgery she was monitoring. She scrambled through it's empty expanses and fled from the decaying demonic mockery of a human being. With good fortune and great agility for a woman her age, she escaped with both her life and sanity, a miracle should miracles exist. Anyone of sound mind would never return, and spend the rest of their days in the company of friends and nights in the company of bright lights. However, Meredith met someone she never expected to see again, someone that might remove her from the ranks of those well advised souls that would never return. Now, in the days of silence thereafter, her mind wanders back to the one thing that might convince her to return, the one thing that will convince her to return. But what Meredith doesn't yet understand, is that the Second Stage has no windows, no entrances and no exits, for it accepts you when it wishes and releases you when it's finished.
