Beatrice Eaton has been living alone for a little over a year now, and it's been harsh. Her birth-mother, Beatrice Prior, died before she was even born, and her father, Tobias Eaton, died a little over a year ago. In the fifteen years that he did live with her, he never allowed her outside. Beatrice is curious to go outdoors, but knows her father was protecting her for a reason. When difficulties of dividing Tobias's will arise, Beatrice loses the rest of her family to suicide and depression. Beatrice started going to real school when she started high school, a year ago, but the rest of her life she's been homeschooled. Beatrice learns of love, heartbreak, friendships, and, the dystopian society her parents and many others lived in during their youth. She learns, not only of the Faction System that her mother died to help bring down, but also of The Hunger Games, another horrid method of keeping citizens in check. The mere ideas of these two monstrosities petrify Beatrice, she frets that the Government regrets their choice of removing these to horrors. The signs are showing. Are the Factions and The Games back? Can Beatrice, amongst others, find a way to stop them if they are? Read to find out.
