Once Grayson and I reached my home, he stayed for a moment longer. I stared up at him, he reached out to me, and tucked a lock of my hair behind my ear. I blushed as his fingers brushed against my skin. He tilted my chin up towards him. I shuddered and looked up at him through my lashes. I lightly gripped his upper arm. His face hovered over mine. His hot, shallow breath against my lips made me shift. He slipped his other arm around my back, and pulled me gently towards him. "Lyla..." My name on his lips felt like I was lighter than air. The part of me that is trying to resist this kicks in, "Grayson... no, I-I can't." I whispered. I was surprised how my smooth and innocent my voice was sounding.
