Employed Epoch Of Alex Brook | Book 1| Humor-Romance (Completed)
"So, let me get this straight. You stomped all over his paperwork?" She started. "Not intentionally, but yes," I confirmed it. "Threw a drink in his face?" She added. "Expensive red wine." I described. "Rammed into his car with yours deliberately?" she counted on her third finger. "Um...I'm not proud of that one," I said cringing. "And called him offensive names?" She ended the list and I winced. "Twice." I specified. "And you're still alive?" She blinked, looking genuinely surprised. "Geez, don't be dramatic or anything..." I frowned at her hyperbolic statement. "Maybe he's keeping you around to get revenge." She suggested. Possible. I wouldn't put it past him. "I didn't know alright!" I exclaimed. "Let's hope that excuse is acceptable.." She was merely amused. "Working with my new boss is going to be a piece of work." ** Synopsis: When the CEO of Signature Heights: Jensen Black, and a stubborn employee: Alexandra Brook, clash, it's a battle of wits & a war of perseverance. They are both dead set on making each other's lives hell, but when the story progresses they just might learn that first impressions could be deceiving. Blindsided By The Boss
Enemies-to-lovers * Bickering/bantering Boss/employee * Romantic comedy with a HEA He says I'm a hemorrhoid and a massive dark cloud without a silver lining. I consider him a bosshole and heartless prick--because that's what he is and more. I've never met my boss. He works only through emails. I was two months in at my new job, when I had to fly to Florida to bury my grandmother. The night of her funeral, an overly hot man approached me while I was in the middle of trying to meet a deadline, wondering if I'd be interested in having a wild night with him. It had been a couple years since I Iast been with a man. I was pissed at my boss, and he was good looking, so I accepted his offer. Next, I emailed my boss telling him I wasn't making the deadline because I was going to get laid. And I did... lots of it. The next morning he was gone. Months later, I run into my boss--in the dark--on masquerade night at a sex club. Let's just say we had an interesting moment. After that I wanted to kill him more than I already wanted to. Weeks later. I had the shock of my life when we met face to face at my best friends wedding. Callum's a one-and-done type of guy. And I wasn't looking for love either. But our friends had other plans for us. They thought we were the perfect match and did all they could to set us up. Will us two stubborn hotheads see we're meant to be? INSATIABLE
He brought his hands up and tucked my hair behind my ear. coming closer to my ear "Do i arouse you?" he whispered, making my knees weak "I can feel the heat radiating off you and i know you are soaking wet already" What the hell? Pushing him off me i straightened up and glared at him "You are now my boss starting tomorrow and i dont think it is appropriate to use comments like that with an employee." He suddenly jammed on the elevator emergency button, causing the elevator to stop. "Really? That would make this more exciting and easier. "I am attracted to you, you are attracted to me. Lets fuck and be fine" I stared at him wide eyed Has this man gone mad? I admit that he is hot and affects me a little but that doesn't mean i want to jump into bed with him, he is my boss for crying out loud and i really need this job" He was now standing in front of me with his face close to mine staring at my lips. I want to kiss you" He whispered making me feel chills all over my body. ***************************************************** Blake Greyson wasn't born with a silver spoon but he worked all his life to get to the top. Forever Night Stand
My luck with a guy has been sucks for a while. My friend told me that maybe I need to try a new way. I always take everything seriously in relationships. So she suggested that I try a one night stand. Maybe that will break the curse of my love life. So, when the chance comes of course I'm going to try it. But my friend failed to mention: do not have a one night stand with your co-worker who apparently will become your boss for two weeks. Or... do not have a one night stand with someone who can make your heart does a cha-cha dance whenever you see his dimples (this is my weakness) or his cocky smile or his blue eyes... or... um... can I say everything about him? Is it possible? Oh, and top of it, my one night stand trapped (yes trapped) me to come to his family gathering as his girlfriend. Can I handle this hot man? God knows I can't even handle his dimples. Some will be writing prompts from Pinterest, some may be fanfictions, and some will be short stories with the Bible. I don't know where this will end up. THE MONTH IS OVER AND I DID NOT COMPLETE THE CHALLENGE. I WILL POST MORE OF THE MAIN STORY AT A LATER DATE.Complete
