Ava Moore loves to sing. Ever since she was little, her life has revolved around singing, and no one can deny her musical talent. But when her biggest supporter, her dad, leaves to join the US military, she's determined to make him proud. How so? By auditioning for the largest vocal competition in the state: Chart Topper.
But there's more to this competition than Ava ever imagined. The other singers make her question her own talent. She's faced with the pain of making friends and watching them get eliminated as the competition progresses. Worst of all, the one person she wants to see cheering her on is far away serving her country.
Ava wants nothing more than to win Chart Topper and shoot for the stars, just like her father always told her. But in the end, will she be shining brightest?
