This story is about a girl named Emerson, she lives on the outskirts of a large kingdom Nightingale. The closest ally to Nightingale, Gilmore turned against the kingdom and attacked in hopes of gaining their outstanding riches and land. The two kingdoms fought, it was a brutal cold war, the war only lasted temporarily though, as Nightingale had overthrown their fleets of men by a landslide. In the end, Nightingale rained victorious but at a cost. The war left millions without homes. Many left homeless. This story tells the life of little Emerson as she goes through the struggles of growing up. This story engaged the reader and creates a fantasy like story.
