I ducked my head, thinking about the risk I was about to take. I was breathing quickly. I looked around, making sure people weren't around--and jumped and ran. I refused to use my powers, because I knew it would end in disaster... The bullets flew around me, so close to me I knew it was just a matter of time before it hit me. I'm not like wonder woman, supergirl or catwoman. The only similarity we share is that we all have an extraordinary ability and are females. Many people would say having superpowers was a gift from god and the best thing that could ever happen to you. But not for me, being able to freeze time was more of a burden, because I couldn't control it and it had the worst timing to appear. So, I have currently been twenty five years old for four hundred and two years, with no sign of ever changing. I don't know why. I don't know how. Acid trip horror show... I mean, I'm sure I could be killed if someone really put their heart into it, but I have been burned alive, ran over, shot in the chest, stabbed through the heart and fallen off the edge of a cliff, and I've walked away completely fine every time.
