In 2025 rich, over protective parents send their children off to boarding schools called Nurture centers where safety and quality education is ensured. In the Richardson Nurture Center, children are not allowed to go outside. Well for eight year old Adam Bender, this is a fallacy. After being caught for escaping into the woods for seven days, he is put into detention where he is not allowed to speak. While in detention, he meets a nine year old girl Eveline Watercrest (Eve for short) who is punished for the same crime. After they decided they had enough "nurturing" they plan to escape the school for good. In the next few years they prepare for the unknown and stumble upon an ancient art that could change Society.
