'Surges' have been appearing for the past four years, killing hundreds, thousands, millions in their wake. The locations of these uprisings and creature-like forms coming out, are seemingly random, and nobody knows whether they could be the ones sentenced into an apocalypse state. Sometimes minor villages, sometimes huge cities, but things can always go wrong.

Everyone, and everything dies out there, one way, or another. You either die by the Surge itself, or you die from this apocalypse left behind. Everyone. Everyone dies out there.

Frida is not normal. Well, a geeky adopted year twelve, with only a few random passions like the S.T.E.M, was bound to get her bullied in earlier years, and maybe now.

Many cannot see through the lies.

The surges, the apocalypse, the politics.

The people around you.

Frida's life was never perfect, or anything close. In fact, the more opposite she does, the closer ties she and her new group of friends can find to possibly save the world.

A nerdy amputee.
A boy with anxiety.
An overprotective sister.
Two sets of twins in the same family.
And a winged Soldier.

And of course, you know Frida from above all that.

For over a hundred years, humanity has lived in fear of the monsters that roam the streets, lurking in the drains below. Women and their daughters hide, protected in their homes, while men take their sons through the world, teaching them the responsibilities of having a family to feed and dangers to avoid. No one leaves the home unless it's essential, and most of the world prefers it that way. Until one girl spends her days perched on her window seat, looking down at the world below and dreaming of a different life. Her eyes are always drawn to the dark, ominous drains in the street, the ones that often blink open to swallow and person whole. One day, that person is her little brother, snatched right in front of her from their arms of their father and gone forever. When a person is snatched, they never return, and life goes on without them. But she can't accept that. Breaking all the rules, all the things she's ever known, she braves the world outside her little townhouse and goes on a mission into the darkness to find her brother. Only, it's soon her that becomes the one lost to the drains. To survive she must rediscover her world, and in the process, rediscover herself. She will be reunited with old friends, gain new ones, find out deeper secrets about her past than she ever could have imagined, and learn that the world is even more corrupt than she always thought. *** This story contains sexist ideology, mention of cheating, some gruesome scenes, and a whole lot of monsters and darkness. It isn't overly mature... there isn't much explicit language or sexual scenes, but there is a bit of violence, so just keep that in mind... and despite all that negativity, ENJOY!

~PARAGON CINEMATIC UNIVERSE: PHASE 3, BOOK 5~ *This novel serves as the 5th novel of Phase 3 and a sequel to "Coldsnap: Storm's Call".* "The Dark Inquisitor decrees it; the Elemental Realms are at an end! Now, watch as your pitiful dimension which has endured for eons.....crumbles to DUST!" -Shade After multiple successful adventures with the Paragons, the Mage Aspect superheroine Coldsnap continues to rule over the Ice Sect of the Elemental Realms with a perfect mixture of respect and discipline. However, the icy icon may be about to face her greatest challenge yet. The Ascendant, the "god" of the Mage Aspects, has gone missing. In his absence, the Elemental Realms' protection against most external threats has started to wane. Elsewhere, in deep space, a plot is underway to invade the Elemental Realms and eradicate the Mage Aspects entirely, orchestrated by none other than Dark Inquisitor Lizala of the Cosmic Armada, a ruthless intergalactic conqueror intent on adding Earth to her growing list of sundered worlds.....and in order to do that, she intends to wipe out a major category of Earth's defenders-the Mage Aspects-in preparation. With the fate of the Realms themselves now hanging in the balance, Coldsnap must team up with her girlfriend Keena, her good friends Firebird and Geode, and Geode's father Sledge-the sole surviving member of the original Mage Aspect leaders-to find The Ascendant and protect the dimension from Lizala's imminent incursion.....and failure could mean the end of the Realms as we know it. • Cover designed by @Castiment

[Book 1 of Heroes Dawn] Vanellope lives a simple life, helping around the town in many ways, until she moves to the nearby city where only the worst begins to take place. Strange occurrences happen frequently in the City Pandona after her family moves there from Helmfirth, and along the way, Vanellope is given a new responsibility. [Book cover made by: Zenith0082 (me) on Postermywall.com] !Okay- LOTS of credit to Postermywall, Fantasynamegenerators, Rollforfantasy, Makeavatar.io, ifaketextmessage.com and Kamira's Puppy Maker on Dolldivine. Most of the pictures in this series will contain images made with the help of these websites. This story is mainly a boring build-up and a sort of backstory about how they all got their powers. Nothing super special and there will be characters that will return in a future prequel which I should've published now- 20/08/2024 - Now, this is being written before actually being published. I've been out of it lately and my writing has kind of lost even my own interest and been less exciting, especially after two of my closest friends (online) died. The ending to this is done poorly, which I will humbly acknowledge, and I will update stuff when I find the time and when my mind is right again. In the meantime, Book 2 is already being worked on. I apologise in advance for any plot holes or explanations that might not exist, and for any mistakes or typos in the story. I'm currently very tired, heavily lacking self-confidence and wishing I could do other stuff instead of this, but I do enjoy writing.
