'Surges' have been appearing for the past four years, killing hundreds, thousands, millions in their wake. The locations of these uprisings and creature-like forms coming out, are seemingly random, and nobody knows whether they could be the ones sentenced into an apocalypse state. Sometimes minor villages, sometimes huge cities, but things can always go wrong.
Everyone, and everything dies out there, one way, or another. You either die by the Surge itself, or you die from this apocalypse left behind. Everyone. Everyone dies out there.

Frida is not normal. Well, a geeky adopted year twelve, with only a few random passions like the S.T.E.M, was bound to get her bullied in earlier years, and maybe now.
Many cannot see through the lies.
The surges, the apocalypse, the politics.
The people around you.

I never knew four words could contain so much dread and terror. I'd rather deal with the Wanderers. I'm on the brink of a breakdown. I need help..." BOOK #2 IN THE SERIES! Ignorance is not bliss... In the wake of ridding Oakwood of Wanderers, other dangers come creeping in and they're somehow linked to Luc's absent twin. The past returns to haunt the mutants in inconspicuous ways. But she's not the only one, there are nine others supposed to be besides her; two of which never made it past their mother's womb and one who's incompatible. What makes them special, is also what makes them dangerous. Ripped from their normal, day-to-day,school life, family and friends with no warning, they find out who they are. And why they're alive. But fitting back into that normal life they missed so much is proving to be hard. Especially for Maya, who has a tendency to get herself in trouble and extraordinary situations ENTIRELY her fault. (She'd rather die than admit that of course) Old life brings the problem of boys, unwanted advances, homework, teachers and of course, a boyfriend with she had a rather uncharacteristic meet-up. Scott, Sed, Andy are her childhood friends all the way with her in this. Almost all the way. They didn't expect her to change or to come back at all and they are having a HARD time adjusting to the new Maya. She's dangerous, she's hot and she knows it. She has done a lot in the past two years that will catch up to her and stuff after that which refuses to stay hidden.
