Sixteen year old Thomas Judah runs away from home - after his mother's repeated abusive boyfriends - to the country, were he doesn't just find the seclusion of the countryside. A group of runaways, living in an abandoned church, take him in. When the girl in charge of the group, Elizabeth, seems as cold as ice, Thomas sets himself to the task of breaking that barrier. But with the troubles the country brings, and with the stories that come with Elizabeth's scars, it might not be as easy as he thought.

Well, until he met her. She was too insecure about her looks to think love could ever find her. And when love smacks her straight in the face, she still doesn't realize it. She sees him as a friend, nothing more. But on the other hand, he can't get her off his mind. With a set of "accidental" run-ins and untitled dates, will this boy ever get the girl to fall?
